Experience the magic of winter at the Grand Rapids Public Museum’s Snowflake Break! Our fun and educational activities and camps provide kids with exciting opportunities to explore science, history, and culture during the holiday season. Join us for a winter adventure they won’t forget!
Activities include crafts like ornaments, suncatchers, and holiday-themed scratch art. Crafts are led by volunteers from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Plus self-guided tables with building blocks, magna-tiles, gear flowers and more will be out for our visitors to enjoy.
From Monday, December 23 through Friday, January 3, the fun and exploration of Camp Curious returns. First through sixth graders will use the Museum as a learning lab – experimenting, exploring, and growing – all while having a great time in one of the area’s most history-rich environments. Topics include Engineering, River Ecology, LEGO®, and camps inspired by our current visiting exhibit, The Nature of Color.
From December 20 through January 5, additional activities will also be set up throughout the Museum. Explore a variety of self-led and volunteer-led crafts themed around The Nature of Color exhibit.
