Grand River Adventure

Join us on September 16, 2023 to learn about the past, present, and future of the Grand River.

Families and community members from the Grand Rapids area are invited to a one-day, open house-style event on September 16, 2023, from 10 am to 4 pm. This exciting gathering aims to bring community members together and highlight the past, present, and future of the Grand River. Attendees will have the opportunity to visit various stations where they can learn about the efforts made to preserve this valuable resource. Additionally, they will discover actionable steps they can take as community members to contribute to the ongoing preservation of the river. This event will serve as a platform to unite organizations with a shared passion for the Grand River revitalization, creating an opportunity for education and collaboration. This event is free with admission.

Community Involvement:

We are involving community organizations to join in one of the following ways:

Prize Donations: We will be challenging guests to complete a “mission” by visiting all of the exhibit tables to complete their “passport.” Completed passports will be entered into a drawing for prizes.

Exhibit Table Hosts: We are inviting organizations that work with water and or the Grand River to host a table showcasing the work they do. Exhibitors would be invited to provide informational materials about the work that is being done by their organization. They can also provide guests with a hands-on experience or activity.

Connections: If you know of any individuals or organizations that would be interested in being involved with this event, please let us know! We are always looking to build more partnerships with the community.
