Schedule a group visit to the GRPM and receive reduced admission pricing! Groups are considered 20 visitors or more. 

With fascinating exhibits on three floors, the Museum offers a unique and entertaining experience for everyone. A convenient drop off location for motor coaches is available at the main entrance, under cover from the weather and an elevator inside ensures access for everyone.

The Museum Cafe overlooks the Grand River and the city center, and offers homemade soups, snacks, salads, sandwiches, desserts and a daily special. Don’t forget to make time for a stop at the Curiosity Shop!

The GRPM is centrally located in downtown Grand Rapids, across the street from the Gerald R. Ford Presidential Museum. Park the coach and it’s a short walk to both.

  • Groups receive 1 complimentary group leader
  • Payment for group sales is due 2 weeks prior to visit.
  • Group sales will be billed based on the number of individuals in the group at the time of payment. If the group numbers decrease within that 2 week period or on the day of the visit, the GRPM is not able to issue a refund.
  • If additional individuals are with the group on the day of the visit, additional tickets will need to be purchased upon arrival at full-price (no group discount)
  • Memberships are not applicable for group booking discounts.
  • Refunds:
    • Please note that a full refund will be given if the visit is cancelled 48 hours prior to the visit.
    • No refund will be given for cancellations within 48 hours of the visit.
    • Exceptions include emergency weather closures.

GRPM Building Tour

Tour the Museum with a knowledgeable guide who will point out highlights. Tour can be tailored for groups with specific areas of interest. Offered year-round for adults, the tour lasts 90 minutes.

West Michigan Culture & History - Guided Exhibit Tour

Learn about the cultural history and settlement patterns of West Michigan dating back hundreds of years, from this area’s first inhabitants to those who came later. A Museum educator will facilitate guided exploration and discussion through two core exhibits– Anishinabek: The People of this Place and Newcomers: The People of this Place. Offered year-round for adults, the tour lasts 90 minutes.

Community Archives Tour

This peek behind the curtain gives a glimpse at how the Museum manages, stores, catalogs and preserves the Collections at the Community Archives and Research Center. Our facility houses approximately 95% of the Collections and is not open for public hours.
