2020 Camp Curious is virtual!

Camp Curious hands-on activities

Pre-K through 9th grade will explore, grow and learn with the Museum from the comfort of their home, led by Museum educators.

Registration is closed for Camp Curious 2020.

About Virtual Camps

Camp Curious virtual sessions utilize the  video streaming platform Zoom and the virtual platform SeeSaw. A live kick-off and wrap up with camp instructors will happen each day of camp via Zoom, followed by all activities, videos and other virtual learning content posted on SeeSaw. Campers will be sent the login and password codes for Seesaw one week prior to the camp. A link to enter those Zoom video streams will be posted within the SeeSaw platform each day.

Camp Curious virtual sessions are designed for campers to do projects independently, however, we recommend parents of young children (pre-k – 3rd grade) to be present for projects that require cutting, glueing or other actions that might be difficult for tiny hands.

A recording of each live session will be posted to the SeeSaw classroom following the stream if you choose to opt out or miss the live stream.

The Museum encourages parents/guardians to reach out to instructors with any questions or recommended participation outlined by instructors’ lesson plans including showcasing completed projects, household material uses and technical support.

Camp participation requires access to the internet and the use of a device to watch presentations and to complete activities. A recommended materials list will be provided with each camp description.

Please reach out to Rob Schuitema, Director of Public Programs, at with any questions.
