    The Curiosity Club is made up of individuals who seek to make a difference in their community through investment in history, science, and culture.

    Curiosity Club members have the distinction of being the Grand Rapids Public Museum’s most generous annual contributors, leading the way to sustain the Museum as an invaluable community institution. At the Grand Rapids Public Museum, our goal is to spark curiosity in every student, volunteer, and guest that walks through our doors. We accomplish this through presenting high-quality exhibits, innovative inquiry-based education programs, and creating greater access to the Collection that tells the story of our past.

    KEEPERS | $15,000

    Help preserve and care for more than 250,000 artifacts in the GRPM Collections. Your Keepers gift keeps the collections storage facility operating for one week.

    EXPLORERS | $10,000

    Presenting the world beyond our own, the Roger B. Chaffee Planetarium provides over 60,000 visitors with diverse programs that explore other galaxies. Your Explorers gift makes one new show possible.

     

    INTERPRETERS | $7,500

    Students in after school science program

    Ensure more than 100,000 children annually have the opportunity to learn about science, history and culture through interpretive programs such as teacher-led educational programs, Curiosity Labs and more. Your Interpreters gift helps to support the development and implementation of these quality programs for 1,500 children.

     

    PRESENTERS | $5,000

    Visitors Exploring Fashion and Nature Exhibit

    Support the installation of new exhibits that celebrate our diverse collection of artifacts and present hands-on, experiential learning. Your Presenters gift helps with the material costs of one pop-up exhibit or experience making our collection available to the community.

     

     

    CONNECTORS | $2,500 or $209 monthly

    Immerse students handling butterfly specimens from the GRPM Collections

    Inspire more than 1,200 students in the week long Immerse program for K-12 school students to connect the past with the present. Your Connector’s gift contributes to the support of two of the forty Immerse educational programs held during the school year.

     

    LEARNERS | $1,000 or $84 monthly

    Each day the GRPM impacts the lives of our visitors through learning opportunities. Whether it’s a planetarium show or educational program, new exhibit or family event. Your Learners gift helps to provide free admission passes to low-income, under-served members of the community that might not otherwise be able to visit the Museum.

     

    Benefits of being a Curiosity Club member.

    All Curiosity Club members automatically receive these primary level benefits:

    • Membership to the Museum which includes free general admission; admission to all exhibits and a ride on the Carousel, discounted planetarium shows, advance notice of special events, and access to more than 340 other museums nationwide and more!
    • Free parking in the Museum ramp
    •  Invitations to Museum events for Curiosity Club Members
    • Signature “Curiosity Club Member” lapel pin
    • Name recognition on the GRPM’s donor wall and annual report. 

    The levels displayed are symbolic of the needs a gift can support and are only representative of our many programs. Each symbolic gift is unrestricted and will be used to meet the Grand Rapids Public Museum’s needs. The suggested donation amounts are based on average estimated costs.
