Public Observing Night – Planets and Deep Sky Objects Saturday, October 14, 2023 7:30 p.m. -10:00 pm James C. Veen Observatory, 3308 Kissing Rock Ave SE, Lowell, MI 49331, USA Public Observing Nights only take place if skies are clear. Check the weather status on graaa.org, social media, or call 616-897-7065 for a phone message. These are informal events where guests may show up at any time during the 2.5 hours that the observatory is open. Guests typically spend about an hour enjoying views through the Veen Observatory’s telescopes, the personal telescopes set up by GRAAA members, a video presentation about the history of GRAAA, and stargazing and constellation finding with GRAAA members and volunteers.
