Dark Skies, A Resource Essential to Life as We Know It.

A presentation about the efforts to mitigate light pollution and maximize access to a dark night sky by Dr. Sally Oey, Professor of Astronomy at the University of Michigan. Professor Oey is a leader in efforts to ensure that dark locations are maintained in parts of Michigan where that is still possible.

VENUE INFORMATION

Free parking in the Museum’s parking ramp for Kent County residents and GRAAA members. The Overlook Room is located on the third floor of the Grand Rapids Public Museum, accessed via stairs or an elevator.

This event will begin promptly at 7 p.m.

GRAAA meetings are free and open to the public.
